They have great AEW sources.
They do get things wrong about NJPW wrong though, but everyone does. They either obfuscate things or rumors get lost in translation. Could just be management keeps tight lipped so you don't really hear much directly.

They're both live events companies currently and don't have a huge market presence on TV like AEW/WWE do.
It used to be like that in Japan back in the day too, and was a TV biz way before it was in the US.
I've wondered if it would be better for them to try to go for that TV bag but they'd need to restructure everything which is a big risk.

The reality is AEW swooped in and took the secondary position in the West and they have a billionaire who's not subtle with money. It's hard to compete with that. If anything NJPW seems to have done a decent job cultivating overseas talent in recent years, though keeping them long term will always be difficult without contractual obligations.

NJPW/AEW is a devil you know situation. Poach your talent but they still help you promote and send talent occasionally (should be doing this way more instead of paying guys to sit home, especially the women who desperately could use the training)

If NJPW pushed more for women you might see more crossovers, they did bring in their own championship and lower barriers somewhat. Easy to see guys going over to NJPW, harder to see women going over to Stardom and it being worthwhile.

The girls from there going back for a big show would be a fun time.
And the girls going there on excursion would up their skills significantly, look at what it did for Jamie.
In wrestling it's hard to get better unless you're working with someone better than you at something and the womens division is struggling to grow for that reason and lack of reps. Would be worth to pay them to put in some extra dojo time with the AEW girls too.
