He didn't. Shirai was making less in the E than she did in stardom, and had been promised quick promotion to the main roster where she'd earn more. Then they left her in NXT for years. Eventually she gave them an ultimatum to put her on the main roster with a big pay rise or she'd leave, which is what Meltzer was reporting. The E eventually caved to her demands. Why do you feel the need to lie here?
