They sort of danced around him being a former WWE wrestler, but never actually mentioned who he was, and then just mentioned him wrestling in Japan....but again, didn't mention who he was in Japan. Neither Albert/A-Train, nor Giant Bernard. Apparently he is just "Lord Tensai", who didn't exist in Japan.
They could have stopped the Albert chants immediately by having him say early on something like "You knew me once before as Albert, but now you will call me Lord Tensai" or whatever. There, it's acknowledged, and you're not proving anything by chanting Albert, thus avoiding others who don't actually recognize him copying the chant because monkey see monkey do.
Then again, that just leaves you with the strange faux-Japanese gimmick. Remember him using green mist....but spraying it on his hand instead?
