Metalingus has around 119M plays, the problem is that it is tagged as an Alter Bridge song only and not as a WWE song so it doesn´t show up on that list. Cult of Personality is also not there for the same reason.

The Game is legitimately one of the greatest wrestling themes of all-time in terms of representing the wrestler and setting the mood and being genuinely good to listen to.

I will say however that after the chorus guitar rift, when the 2nd verse starts, from that point forward the song becomes totally repetitive and slightly even uncompelling. It really is only that great up through the point where Triple H would spit the water; before the 2nd chorus starts, it should turn off.

For anyone who doesn't know the story he ended up becoming friends with the guitarist from Alter Bridge's brother who he met the band through and heard the demos of their first album when they were still just instrumentals. He already had it plucked from them to use before the song was even finished. I think there was only a couple months difference between when the album dropped and when he started using it too. So it's not unfair for it to have the association it does with him

It makes sense to say Metalingus is associated with Edge, but also Alter Bridge are a decently popular band in their own right, and Metalingus is a fan favourite. 99% is a big exaggeration, something like 50%-60% seems fairer.

Yeah, honestly, I was just personally gauging how popular Alter Bridge was outside of WWE recognition. If Metalingus and The Other Side is any judgement I guess they would probably have a lot of other great music that would appeal to those outside of WWE-knowledge.

Agreed, it's very much a linear song that's about going from A to B. Once it stops developing and starts repeating it loses steam. The good thing is his entrance is usually pretty much over by then besides at Wrestlemania.
