There's probably some territory day stuff where some top guys got a sponsor to outbid the territory's TV spot and got everyone to jump over to cut out a promoter.

Hasn’t happened.
The closest thing was a work and it was when everyone walked out on Haitch except Ryder who for some reason got a pedigree burial for deciding to side with Haitch and stay with the company.

The 70's war over Georgia. Ray Gunkel owned a large portion of the territory and died. His ownership partners didn't like him and tried to take territory over when he died. Ann Gunkel wasn't having it though and formed an outlaw promotion against the NWA.

Yep, minus Fuchi and Kawada.

They made amends with Tenryu and got help from New Japan, along with bringing in various foreigners. I don't feel like looking up all of the details right now, but NJPW also had internal issues and it lead to Mutoh, Kojima and Kendo Kashin leaving for All Japan.

They still had Kawada who was a top guy, Fuchi who was a veteran and all the gaijin regulars didn't jump cause one of the goals of NOAH was to focus more on the Japanese talent.
Tenryu came back who was a top guy in the late 80s and remained a as relevant as a non New/All Japan guy could be in the 90s. Co-promoted with New Japan, and then by 2002 Muta had jumped over to All Japan who was arguably the biggest star of the 90s.

There was a shitty episode of Raw where they basically buried the entire roster by having them 'go on strike' because HHH had created an 'unsafe working environment', basically painting all the wrestlers who went on strike as pussies. Only saving grace was a couple of fun moments of CM Punk on commentary.

Do you think Baba ever considered something like this might happen while he was spending his final days in the hospital? He knew that his wife and Misawa detested each other, yet he allowed his wife to become the majority shareholder and promoted Misawa to head booker, allegedly after Misawa threatened to start his own promotion. Was he just too passive to prevent the groundwork for the power struggle? Or did he genuinely believe they would put aside their differences and work together?
