When Bellator aired on CBS here's what it did:

I have no idea about Bellator attendance but I could see that being an area where it could have the edge over AEW, since live MMA seems to be a decent draw and it runs fewer shows, making it more of a scarce commodity.

MMA is a more prestigious sport than wrestling. If I told my workmates I was going to an mma show they wouldn't bat an eyelash. If I told them I was going to a pro wrestling show they'd think less of me for it.

MMA outside of UFC doesn't make much money, just like how wrestling outside of WWE doesn't make money. They are monopolies. Bellator with the backing of somebody as rich and connected as Tony Khan would potentially be worth as much as AEW, if not more though. The truth is that most people consider MMA or wrestling outside of UFC and WWE respectively to be not worth their time, regardless of its quality. I find Bellator fights to be more entertaining than UFC fights. Unlike the UFC it hasn't gone full Joo and still lets fighters have their own sponsors. UFC feels soulless in comparison.
