It had nothing to do with AEW or his attitude backstage. Vince doesn't like him because Phil isn't a guy who will cooperate and do everything he says. Phil left when he was set to win a big program against HHH. And then refused to come back when Vince personally called him. That kind of attitude is not acceptable for Vince.
