This is pretty much correct. AEW was doing well, reasonably consistent millys, beat NXT in the Wednesday Night Wars, had some promising talent on the show with a mix of young and established names. CM Faggot shows up once he realizes they've got some stability and decides to see how much money he can squeeze out of the boss who he knows is a money mark and a Punk mark. Cody knew exactly what Punk was like and decided to leave around this time.

Tony has no idea what he's doing. That's where all of AEW's problems stem from. He has no idea how to book, no idea how to run an organization, no idea how to command respect, and no idea how to deal with people in general. When Punk and The Elite started beefing with each other the FIRST FUCKING THING Tony should have done was call a meeting and tell them they have two options: work together like professional adults or get fired because AEW has zero tolerance for politics and infighting. The game was rigged from the start. Tony, being a money mark, hired wrestlers based on how much of a mark he was for them and let the lunatics run the asylum. Ironically enough AEW is pretty similar to wCw in that way, and it will die like wCw. Though I doubt Vince would by the AEW brand, Tony will get bored or somehow run out of money and pull the plug.
