I've known old shoot wrestlers who thought all of the 80s and 90s WWF shit was gay theater and wasn't real wrestling, that it was enough for two guys to go into a ring in trunks, without flashy gimmicks, and just cripple each other for the crowd's entertainment and still make sure whichever one of them who was supposed to win, still won.
