When Jon Huber died and when the were in negotiations with CM Punk. Triple H and, unironically, Paul Heyman told Tony not to hire Punk because he was locker room cancer.
WWE will not bring him in just to spite Tony. There is no rivalry between the companies on that level. They compete for ratings and talent, assets which improve the company. WWE doesn't think CM Punk is an asset and warned their biggest competition against hiring him.
The console war only exists in peoples heads. Competition is good for business.
