But the idea that this is new isn't really true. He has always been like this, he just had no opportunity to act on it because the WWE locker room was a different environment so he used passive aggression and emotional blackmail instead.
Taker would have gotten someone to shoot heem him, or got Vince to book him in a match with someone who works stiff to teach him a lesson. AEW doesn't have anyone like that that is a) willing to take that Taker role and b) has influence with Tony.
Jericho could do it, but the locker room is fucking leaky and he'd get painted in a bad light for it. Joe is another who could probably do it. Being humbled on live TV is a massive motivator for not being a dick. Who do AEW have that could have reigned Punk in?
