They have had about 5 absolute bangers in AEW and the rest have been annoying because of the need to get their shit in. Cornette rates Nick as a singles wrestler, believe it or not, so they do have it in them to wrestle the sort of style that most people like as bread and butter and save spots for big matches.
I think the problem is how they perceive themselves. They no longer have to struggle to get buy, topping the last match every time on the indies to get heat, keep heat and get over. They can save it for when it matter now, but they still think they need wrestle like they did on the indies.
They would be more over if they let you see what they are fully capable of at big events.
