I'm kinda split on CM Punk. As a lapsed fan who used to watch the attitude era and rarely since, I mean the truth is that CM Punk's drama is pretty much the only time I tune into what's going on in pro wrestling these days. He knows how to get attention with the best of them.
On the other hand, as someone who has had to deal with a few assholes in my life, I can also understand the perspective that no matter how good he is at drawing attention to wrestling, at the end of the day people who are doing what is, basically, theater shouldn't have to deal with actual real life violence.
That's the big problem of pro wrestling. It's interesting when it's full of roided-up giant narcissistic party animal drama queens who are ruining their own health, it's boring when it's run like a normal company and is full of normal people who are trying to just do their best to make a living. I don't know if there's any way to resolve this fundamental issue.
