But what drew me in and kept me is that he had a character and could sell an upcoming feud, and make me believe what he was saying. Not everyone has this ability.
He goes to AEW and tries to be an athletic spot monkey, and botches all over the place then hurts himself multiple times. Trying to overcompensate like Edge does sometimes. Edge is also an above average wrestler who is guilty of trying too hard, but it works out for him cause he never really wrestled as much in the WWE system.
