This is why guys like Mox, Sting, Jericho and Danielson are doing so well with their work with the boys and why guys like Mark, Regal and Beeg are completely devoid of ideas. AEW definitely has a professionalism problem. I’d wager it’s plainly the result of Tony Khan being such a spineless leader. Bret Hart told a story about Vince where everyone got drunk after a show and Hogan convinced some guys to do their finishers on a wasted Vince. Vince laughed it off. Tony going on live television trauma dumping about how his life was in danger being near two wrestlers have a backstage fight. Two different kinds of leaders running the show here.

Nah, I think it holds. It’s been a while since I watched the feud, but back when Punk and Haitch were doing their feud and worked shoots on one another I believe I remember Hunter talked about how Punk is great at pointing out problems, but not so great at acknowledging his role in them. I don’t think there’s any reason to give the Elite/Bucks the benefit of the doubt, even if Punk wasn’t actively making the situation better.

"Professionalism" isn't the word I'd use, the pro wrestling business has literally never been very professional, it's always had it's roots in the circus and carny stuff. You story is evidence of that. Backstage fights happened all the time back then in WWE, the major difference is that they weren't pussies who held passive aggressive feminine grudges like millennials do. Guys would fight, get over it, and usually put their differences aside to make money. You had some exceptions like Shawn and Bret obviously, but that was rare.

Maybe they should stand up more instead of lurking in the shadows. WWE will always be king so AEW will always be limited to an extent but alot of the important guys in AEW could improve the company through excessive nagging, right now Tony Khan and his lackeys think "the problem is gone" and alot of that is down to the veterans remaining quiet for an easy salary.

Tbf if I went to AEW for money and nothing but money then I'd be doing the same thing Sting is doing with a private locker room to boot, it looks like Mark Henry wants a bigger salary so he's trying to improve the company.
