He had to do it for multiple reasons. The locker room had become extremely toxic and always filled with drama, and one single man was at the epicenter of all of it. This had the danger of becoming a Hogan-WCW situation where a bunch of the guys eventually just say fuck this bullshit I'm out. Is it going to hurt them short term? Probably. But in the long term it has to be for the best.

He never got anyone over and his entire cosplay meth addict Bret Hart schtick was awful. I guarantee his strap match with Ricky would have been infinitely worse than the one we got with Danielson. Not a single person he worked with got more over because of him. MAYBE MJF? MAYBE FTR? His in ring contributions were abysmal for a company that's main focus is having good matches.

I like Andrade but slick mexicans in suits are a dime a dozen. I don't think Miro gives a shit as long as he's being booked strong. The entire house of black could walk out and no one would give a fuck except for not getting to see Julia's hot ass anymore. FTR is probably salty but it also seems like they're professionals and they've made peace with the Bucks.

tl:dr AEW will be fine even if there's some bumps along the way

The thing that's going to improve the most is the fact that you don't need 45 minutes of Punk every week now, and you don't have a main event slot permanently occupied by a guy who fucked up the main event scene twice. And because there's no longer that wild card there's less risk of half the company being derailed for months.
