>>11454187It’s a different entity. FCW had different trainers, a different booker. A entirely different way of doing things. It’s still WWE developmental sure. But this guy didn’t say anything about FCW. He didn’t say anything about OVW or Deep South or any other territory they used as their developmental.
Nothing carried over from FCW. Everything was discontinued and rebranded. He’s also not wrong. NXT has been a failure in developing stars. Really WWE in general has been terrible at it. They want to do it, but over the last 40 years the only time they’ve ever had a strong farm system was the first class of OVW. That had a lot more to do with the landscape at the time, No ECW, no WCW. They had no choice. There was no other game in town. TNA didn’t get going until 04 and talent flowed to TNA not from it. Vince has always been better at poaching from other promotions and making them superstars.
Short of that first batch of OVW guys (Brock, Randy, Batista, Cena) who is a wholly homegrown WWE superstar?
The Rock and Roman I guess. I can’t think of anyone else. The Miz if he counts. He was famous before wrestling though.
