Meanwhile, Punk was pandering to the crowd with his uber babyface schtick, but his matches and his feuds were always structured differently than the rest. Christian's feuds have been that way too. You could tell that he was bringing a relatively unique flavour to the AEW melting pot, regardless of his backstage popularity, and I don't know what Edge really has to offer in that regard, besides a little victory lap for surviving. I guess he'd be the most WWE guy they've ever signed. Supposedly, he did book himself into winning the royal rumble, so that's already not much of a great sign. But you know what? All of this is mere speculation. It might as well turn out to be more than decent.
