Last reason for the venue is AEW increased their staging and staff so smaller venues are more difficult for them to run in and have their productions in. The original stage was designed so the Cody entrance could be removed and just the tunnels would be used for smaller venues, the new one can't do this, and they have more production trucks they need to park, as well as a bigger roster and more staff in the back.
