neither Stone Cold nor The Rock were wrestling gods; they were fine. However, they were oozing charisma left and right with strong, impactful promos.
Now imagine Miz, a fine wrestler (not horrible but also not godly) with amazing mic skills. He would be a top tier main eventer. But now everyone acts like he is second rate. Everytime he does a killer promo (which happens more often than not), the internet press goes "Oh thats was solid. But the Miz is just shit!", time and time again.
His 5th IC title reign actually managed to restore that title's prestige. When noone cared about it, he held it up high with honor and pride.
