Just re-listening to the two Colt Cabana Podcasts with Punk from back when he walked out on WWE. It's weird listening to them with so much hindsight.

I now firmly believe what he did was deliberately get fired from AEW. Punk had enough and was actively trying to get fired, that's why he was actively being such a prick (don't get it twisted he's still a prick) and wanted out of his contract. Which obviously means he had a reason to want to quit and go somewhere else. If you listen you can see and hear how he's strictly in it for the money. He doesn't give a shit its just a gig to him and part of me respects that. WWE obviously must've made him an offer when he showed up backstage on Raw months ago, told him to get out and they'll talk business. WWE HOF next year is probably a lock I'm guessing.
