>>11492251Allow me to explain for the zoomers that werent there. Especially since it was a 3 hour show that often plodded on relentlessly
The draw was the NWO. They were active throughout the show and usually had a couple matches. The issue was they had a virtual sttranglehold on the main event and one match during the regular show was something unimportant like Buff vs Glacier or 6Pak vs Ciclope. The catch was the announcers actually did the "Wheres Poochie" thing talking about the NWO the entire show
Now you would get the throwback stuff. Parts of the that were like 1993 was still going and the old bookers hanging around would do their part to fill the 3 hour show by having Big Bubba fight Meng or Disco Infero face Alex Wright. These were so bad people tuned it out to listen to Shivone talk about the NWO the whole time
Then the cruiserweight match would happen. Storyline option because none of the redneck rubes running it could be bothered while the NWO picked their pockets. It stood out even more because most WCW matches were the above catagory with Kevin Sullivan putting a headlock on a equally balding fat jobber until he had a heart attack and fell on top of him. When storylines actualy happened around a Jericho or Eddy it was the best thing on the show by far
Then you get the mid/upper-card WCW thing. This can be pretty good its either DDP being the most over face Raven his not-ECW group or a Benoit or Booker going for a US or TV title. Before you ask yes this was Goldbergs spot EVEN AS WORLD CHAMP
The main event would 90% of the time end with the NWO beating someone down. sometimes it would randomly end with the good guys winning but that was incosnistantly booked with Sting fighting off the whole group or the lockroom one week being united against the NWO then next week nobody will save Lex Lugar from a beating. Its fun but 2 years of it starts to wear you down
