They basically had one year where they fired on all cylinders and then jerked off for another year. Shit, even then, in 98, it wasn't like they were dead, but by the time they gave Goldberg the belt and then had him do nothing the following months until he faced DDP, you fucking knew they had no idea what they were doing.
And for NJPW, the boom they had lasted until around 2018. Part of that is actually the Elites fault because they started to bitch about wanting to do their wacky shit so it kind of became Faggy Theater for a lot of those cards. WWE didn't have much to do with that.
WWE was pretty fucking terrible from like 2017- half of 2022.
