>>11496425It's so weird to re-read some of Dave's WCW stuff, because for most part, he's pretty accurate and even though business seems to be booming (WCW had three Nitros that had over 30000), he's basically writing about how it's over for them now because they're not moving on to another program.
With AEW, it's the complete opposite. They're booming despite showing far more desperate signs and WWE being on a hot-streak since Mania and selling out a ton of shows. Look at how bad AEW is from 2021. I don't know how the fuck he could say things are better and that they're worth a billion when they can barely get Arthur Ashe going.
And NY is a smark-heavy crowd as well. I went to the first one, and while the stadium is out of the way, it's hilarious how bad things have gotten for them. Last year, they can at least say The Elite and Punk weren't there, but this year, you have only 5818, and that's with The Elite still there and up until a week ago, maybe, Punk.
Tony needs to get a booker that builds interest instead of, "THESE TWO GUYS ARE GOING TO FIGHT BECAUSE HE PUSHED HIM ON NXT!!!"
