There's one promotion in the world that's making serious money, a couple in Japan who are ticking over and the rest are barely breaking even or are losing money.
In the 1970s for example, there were 40+ promotions worldwide that were making good money and running shows more than 3 times a week. Some were running stadiums for their big events.
Wrestling has never been less profitable than it is now. Unless you work for AEW (which is not financially viable at the moment apart from investor funding), WWE, or NJPW then you're living on the breadline.
