In-ring: AJ is more athletic, Bryan is better on the mat. Bryan is slightly more versatile with his occasional bloody violence matches, I give the nod to Bryan
Promo/character: Yes Movement, and Eco-Warrior beats out AJ, who was kinda propped up by Bullet Club
Love me some AJ Styles, other than the Styles Clash, he's pretty much got what I like of a protagonist look and moveset

I disagree. AJ’s height makes him. AJ was the first American since Brock Lesnar to win the IWGP Heavyweight title. To me, AJ has had an insane career. Yes he has wasted some of it in TNA, but he still had great matches there and ROH. His 2010’s run was defined by NJPW and WWE. He made it literally everywhere he went. Bryan, not so much. Though I don’t doubt he could’ve. You could say Bryan reached higher heights in WWE, fair enough, but AJ reached further heights worldwide. As far as wrestling goes, I’m kinda torn. Bryan’s better at technical stuff, but AJ is better at the high flying stuff. They’re both well rounded, but ultimately slightly edge each other out in different aspects. They’re about equal promo guys. It’s a hard call to make, in my honest opinion. I know Ric Flair doesn’t think Bryan is in AJ’s league, but I think they’re very close. I might say AJ because his matches are typically more entertaining. You have to acknowledge Bryan as probably a bigger star, but just barely. Tough call.

Hard to say, different styles. Prime Danielson was all about technical wrestling and catch style while AJ was more sports entertainment although a good technical wrestler in his own right. I'd say AJ has been better for longer, Bryan's wrestling really regressed in WWE while AJ still went hard well into his 40s.

I don't know what it is but I've never been able to get invested in Danielson, at least outside the old ROH atmosphere. Like his AEW run has been genuinely terrible. It's just matches and a dude doing wrestling moves. I think he briefly looked like he might actually do some interesting shit when he came out and heeled it up against Hangman, but then he went right back to generic wrestler. At least AJ in New Japan felt cool.
