He took himself out of the main event after 06 when they got a real tv deal and got Sting and Angle. That's what people don't seem to realise. TNA was irrelevant before Spike. After getting dropped from their terrible afternoon slot on FSN, they didn't have a TV deal at all for half of 05. As soon as they had stability, Jeff was out of the title picture

Actually that's incorrect as he's lost money. It would be much more accurate to say that Tony Khan has lost more money in wrestling than anybody not named Ted Turner.
Or another fun fact, though this one is more outrageous and open to definition of success, Jim Cornette ran a more successful wrestling company than Tony Khan.
Corny lost a few grand in the end. Tony is down more than $100m by his own admission and still not in profit.

Weekly PPV TNA was fuckin kino. They charged ten bucks a week so a month was the same cost as a WWF ppv and you got better content. Each week’s show had to be hyped and booked well to make the PPV model work and it was great. Jarrett saved wrestling from triple h then.

"This Fire Burns" was originally intended to be Randy Orton's new theme song at his request in 2006. He had a couple of entrances with it on Smackdown. It is unclear whether Vince or someone else at the office thought it didn't fit him, so they gave it to Punk instead later on that year.
