They're over breh. Sadly WWE's tag team went to shit after edge and christian as well as hardy bois focused more on being single wrestlers and the tag teams after them were meh at best and absolute sodomites at worst

Honestly they should've gone to japan or even mexico where tag team division (as well as cruiserweight division)were far more relevant

Go back and watch their ECW shit. IDK if over is the right word, but they got more heat than just about any other act at that time. The promos they cut on the crowd were just absolutely ridiculous. Bubba would get cancelled 1000 times if he tried that shit today.

That's because you're looking at them as an individual wrestlers instead of a tag team.

In term of individual popularity, guys like Edge and Jeff Hardy would walk over Dudley boyz any day of the week. As a tag team though, Dudley boyz were much more popular.

that was after the matches. When the first few triple matches we're going on, the Hardys were by far the third wheel. They were coming out to no reaction at all and kept getting thrown into random shit like the new brood or having Michael Hayes or Terri manage them trying to get them over. It's wasn't until mid-late 2000 anyone cared about the Hardys

They were either the most over or second after the Hardys. They had the tables, the headbutt to the nuts, and what's probably the best tag team finisher. Even though they had way better singles careers than either Hardy or Dudley, Edge and Christian were comparatively the least over or memorable as a team.

I'm glad someone else is remembering it right. Edge and Christian (well, Edge) had the stink of "front office push" on him even then and people could sense it. Especially when they'd always win or retain the belts in the TLC matches.
I remember it being Hardyz > Dudleyz >E&C as far as popularity goes. Duds obviously did not have the "teen hearthrob" factor of the other 2 teams but they were the favorites of all the guys.
