I still think they should have come up with a bullshit reason to split the titles so Cody v Roman could have main evented night 1 (Roman goes over, retaining the WWE Title) with Sami v Roman main eventing night 2 (Sami goes over, taking the Universal Title). Then instead of a year-long build with the bloodline collapsing in slow-motion, you could tell that story at an interesting pace, leading to Cody winning the WWE Title at Summerslam.
