>>11597539I never watched CMLL or whatever the fuck he was doing in NXT, but I've loved this guy ever since he showed up in AEW having wacky matches like the Cody flaming table one and cutting broken english promos on Darby and Sting. Once Rush showed up they were awesome together but they barely ever got TV time until Collision.
I think he's a victim of AEW's inconsistency, where the only people who really stay over in that company are the ones who can advocate for and market themselves, like MJF. Everyone else gets cooled off by circumstance, and an ESL guy from Mexico is likely going to struggle in that environment. Probably why he tried so hard to get fired and go back to WWE. Say what you will about the fed but they'll market people.
