EWR was more fun for me. TEW has too much autistic micro management. I want a booking sim, not a business sim. It was more fun and engaging booking in EWR just using my imagination with the basic matches and angles provided than micromanaging TEW down to the minute for every show

Once I cracked the code of how to abuse the mechanics of EWR it became too boring for me. I can only play TEW with lots of random events and owner goals to throw me off now

I can understand that, booking a big company can be tedious in TEW. You can at least turn off most options and play "sandbox" mode in the newer games though, plus I always use freestyle angles instead of the pre-sets so it's not so bad. I like EWR but it's just too simple and easy. TEW is good for historical mods as well, can't really replicate alliances like the NWA in EWR, and you can set workers set to debut years into the future so you can play really deep saves.

I feel like there's no "perfect" booking game. Whenever WWE put a GM mode in their games its too simplistic, EWR is too outdated, TEW is too complex to an autistic level. I want something that has a bit of complexity, more than EWR and GM Mode but not micromanaging everything where one show can take hours to set up like TEW. Maybe the earlier versions?

One of my fave custom scenarios is the NWA Domination one, its on EWR too where Wrestlemania was a flop and Vince went bankrupt, causing the NWA to still be on top and thrive into the 2000s/2010s where the scenario is set

I always preferred starting my own company in real-world mods. It's more fun to start small and work your way up in my experience. I like playing the 2004 TEW mod for this purpose due to the amount of unsigned talent floating around. I love taking midcarders like Chris Candido at the dirt lowest point of their career and trying to rehabilitate them, or trying to lock down certain indie guys before TNA can. The scenarios always end up more fun than just fantasy booking WWE the same way everyone else does.

What I have is a Linux mint distro on a VirtualBox machine and I play it through Wine. You just need a couple of DLLs.

The last time I played, I tried to get over a mexican guy because he had decent stats for a nobody + a cool mask. The crowd fucking hated him and every angle I put him in died immediately. After a few months I decided to cool him down and try to get him over as part of a group. His popularity actually increased a little bit and then he got caught with drugs immediately. I fired him and considered the entire thing a huge failure.

I book a number of promotions at once. It takes me a few hours to book a week of shows. I usually book true to life until a certain point and then do my own shit. I'm currently booking August so Summerslam and All In to come and then I'm going my own way. Not firing Punk, not having Judgement Day win the tag titles. Simple as.

I've started the autistic task of combining two or three different mods, starting in the 1980s and having new wrestlers up until 2021. Modifying stats too, so guys who never got over/never got noticed have a better shot at becoming stars and guys who did don't necessarily. It's already eaten up days of my life but I'm not gonna stop until it's done.

i personally like the autism of TEW and im used to it but if i had found PWS first, it would probably be my go to game
it gets updated all the time too, constant fixies and new features which you dont get in tew
