Yeah, as fun as he is as a heel I almost feel he's better suited in this position. As a face he can be the top guy and lead a company or show. He did amazing in that spot for WWECW. As a heel he's always been on the chickenshit side of things. His TNA run, when he was WHC in WWE, same thing in AEW. He's not particular hard for the face to eventually beat so he rarely gets that positioning at the top of the card.

Christian was hurt the most by Phil and all the ROH/NXT shitters coming in. AEW's only good period was where he was a top face re-establishing himself after 7 years on the shelf and building up wins in order to challenge for the title.

You're not wrong at all. At the same time that story with Jungle Boy had written itself for them during that battle royal and was a smart thing to capitalize on. Unfortunately the payoff for Jungle Boy hasn't exactly been there, but they didn't do the wrong thing by trying.

Okay, even if we discard those then Edge still has way more memorable moments as well. Nothing Christian has done in his entire career tops the spear from the ladder, live sex celebration, or the 2010 Royal Rumble return win.

Both are extremely accomplished and a rare case where there is no Janetty on the team. No need to tear one down to praise the other. The fact that this is even a discussion in 2023 is very lucky considering where both of them were just 5 years ago
