Shawn's DX is different from the 98 one as well, and while they did do shit like that, it was part of a larger storyline of them being degenerates like Hart (someone who took himself seriously) said. When it came to nutcutting time, Shawn took shit seriously and didn't joke around. Look at how he acts when they lock the Hell In A Cell, he realizes that he's fucked. When Austin comes out while they're dressed as Revolutionaries holding signs, he immediately takes all that shit off and gets in Austin's face.
Don't fucking compare that shit to the stupid shit MJF does while on top. Through all the bullshit, you still acknowledged Shawn as the champion. With MJF, it's a goof holding the main title in a company of goofs.
