WWE stars “feel like they’re in a civil war”

Per SRS and Fightful:
>A lot of people were extremely unhappy worth how the releases were handled. It’s been ages, but they used to take 2-3 days to call everyone and explain the details. Now? They just call, basically say you’re being let go, the details are in the mail. It’s rubbed a lot of veterans the wrong way, it was described to me as “corporate bullshit”.
>Nobody was necessarily shocked by the names except for Dolph Ziggler and Dana Brooke. Dolph has been there 20 years and everyone expected he’d become a trainer or producer, but I guess that wasn’t in the cards. He’s extremely well-liked although, admittedly, some people were very angry he appeared on camera on Being the Elite. That may have been the final straw for a few people backstage.
>Dana Brooke was basically universally beloved, was always incredibly nice, and constantly pitched ideas. Some of her ideas have even been repurposed by others and she never got angry or asked for credit. It’s all but assumed she’ll at least wrestle a match in AEW since they pay very well compared to the indies and a lot of people backstage really like her.
>Late yesterday Shawn Michaels liked a tweet that basically insulted Stephanie’s talent and management skills, and this spread really quick through the locker room. This is where the Civil War stuff really kicks in; a lot of people loved working with Stephanie but a lot of people love HBK as well. And now there’s a feeling there are backstage power struggles going on which is never good, especially right after roster cuts.
>One superstar said it “feels like the summer of 2020 all over again” and that they’re “so tired of the backstage drama overwhelming the product”.
