I enjoyed it for the most part, but the ending of season 1 ruined it for me. You can't put a world title belt on a woman, for any reason. That kills the prestige of the belt and it kills any semblance of kayfabe because you can't book women vs. men believably, and any man that ends up winning isn't taken seriously anyway. It took Impact years to dig themselves out of the hole they got in by putting the belt on Tessa.

They do cover that and the ongoing play out of the character in S2. Also, I mean, its DWL, they have like 6 wrestlers and it was just hometown state fair viewers but if that killed it for you, yea, I guess.

It did kill it for me. She shouldn't have been in that match to begin with. It's not something any promotion would do that has any idea how to book. It was done because the writers wanted a 'strong woman' moment, but have no idea that wrestling is meant is emulate sports, where women simply cannot compete with men. That's not an insult, just biology.
