>. I’ve seen a decently big majority of AEW fans not liking the upcoming WrestleDream event too
really? most of us are fine with it but the only problem is there is no subscription deal yet, so I'm just going to find a stream. Once the rumored HBO Max deal gets introduced I would be fine with moving to a 10-12 PPV a year model similar to WWE.
To answer your question, the weekly shows are hit or miss and the PPVs usually overdeliver on bad builds. So it's easy to pick apart week story telling but the wrestling when it matters is usually great. Dynamite is very hit or miss. It gets really bad when it is too "PWG" but MJF is carrying that show and all of his segments are must watch. On the other hand, Collision went through a rough patch after Punk left but it was fantastic last night, so I am hoping that last night wasn't a fluke and the show keeps delivering.
Biggest critique is not capitalizing on wrestlers who are over. After their "meat" match, Hobbes and Miro haven't had a single match since. OC just got downgraded. Wardlow was a disaster. Tony needs to get better at this.
As said earlier, MJF is their most talented wrestler on the roster and continues improving. He's now face and nothing feels weird about it.
Christian Cage is putting together one of the best heel runs of the past decade.
FTR is dimes.
Bullet Club Gold has been organically building beautifully and Jay White is likely going to become champion and take the belt from MJF. Juice is the man. The Gunn Club is fun.
Swerve is based.
Bryan Danielson still putting out bangers. His feud with Ricky Starks has been superb.
Women's division is boring but Toni Storm is dimes right now and Statlander is a lot of fun. Hayter coming back would help plug a lot of holes and Mercedes Mone should be coming in soon.
Takeshita is dimes.
The Elite are totally washed and boring. Omega is probably injured because he is not doing singles matches.
