That main event was trash, and the production of that “explosion” was laughable at best.

I find Christian one of the very few things good about AEW. Same with Kenny but SPECIFICALLY in singles where he gives a shit, I'll usually watch those. But everything else is fucking dire and anyone else saying otherwise is wrong.

Backstage stuff will always be more exciting because it's actually real. AEW just needs to keep a lid on things more like WWE has done recently (apart from the recent firings, I guess)

Besides MJF, Cole, Roddy there isn't anything to even really follow with AEW. Even for guys I like, such as Darby, they either have pointless shit leading to the next gimmick match, or a storyline that makes no sense and is interesting in no way and does nothing to make you like anyone more, like the Wayne AR Fox thing. It just feels pointless to watch because there is no progression, the promos are usually boring, and 99 percent of matches have no stakes.

The kayfabe storylines are not compelling TV. The best thing they had going was the MJF bromance, but now it’s more or less resolved and he’s twiddling his thumbs. The orange Cassidy iron man story went out with a wet fart and he basically had the same match twice within a week against the same guy and lost his belt to zero drama or fanfare. Idek what else is going on. When the TV isn’t actually interesting the shoot ineptitude is more captivating

>backstage drama overshadowing the actual wrestling, which not only did Tony fail to nip in the bud, but he actually encouraged it with that stupid reality show
>streams his shows on PPV instead of letting you have them with a subscription like WWE fans are used to, and now he's getting cocky and expects you to pay him $150 in two months
>spent an insane amount of money on a shitty video game made by the studio that was fired by WWE for making games that were too shitty

I love that there is another major promotion on TV giving WWE some competition, but the company is such a failure in almost every way. I do think they've developed and made names out of some real talented people, that's the one good thing I can say about them. And I look forward to more of them making their WWE debuts.
