Does anyone even like Seth? By that I mean he's their favorite wrestler or they get excited about him? Like the most thought people seem to towards him is that he's kind of good but they'd rather be watching the Codemeister or someone.

I like him, been watching him since day 1 when he was the king of NXT.
He can have a match with anyone, can give a mediocre-goodish promo always (which mind you most guys can't).

However I always felt that something is holding him back, despite being there so many years he still looks like he hasn't found what he really wants to do with his gimmick, maybe is a deep psychological issue, maybe it's the fact that WWE won't allow anything to be on TV, maybe he doesn't have ideas, I don't know.

The WHC is so boring that they really shouldn't have even bothered. Quite frankly, it diminishes Roman's "undisputed" status which will in turn ruin the satisfaction of the person who goes over him winning both belts.

I think the last time I found him interesting was his first heel run. Whiny, shitty-voiced Seth with the streak in his hair and J&J, with Mommy Steph and daddy Hunter.

I think he's one of those guys that honestly needs like a year off or something or to go somewhere else for like a year or two. He hasn't had a character for years. They keep tinkering with things, but none of them stick outside of his terrible music. Roman was lost for seven years, but Seth has been lost for eight years and still hasn't found a better gimmick. Now, he just goes out there and dresses wacky, people sing his song, but nobody really takes him seriously or cares when it's time for a match, promo or angle. He doesn't command any respect from the crowd.

Unironically how about a Phil gimmick where he's fixated on being a "veteran" and trying to teach younger wrestlers. Have him on both NXT and Raw, a face on NXT inspiring younger generations and a cynically egocentric heel on Raw. Easy way to give him infinite amounts of lackeys, and multiple feuds with his apprentices. After burying a few shitters and killing smark dreams, he can finally put someone over in a "Contract vs. Contract" match where he bets his Raw contract against someone's NXT contract. Him being sent back to NXT would be kind of funny but irl it would just be an excuse to go part time for a few months.

I like it, pal. It fits because Seth is naturally unlikable as well. I think that's part of the problem. He was a whiny bitch during his big run, and I don't think people ever forgot about that.
