There’s literally no way to justify severance papers dated on the exact date that both people in the company have made clear was their wedding day. Also the staff infection that could have killed him that was undiagnosed and mistreated by WWE medical staff, which was further corroborated by Jon Moxley having a staff infection that went untreated by WWE. I understand the disdain.
That being said, I personally think it is funny the promo that was cut in pic rel now might be in vain. From what we know, Saraya was told to talk shit about WWE when she went out for her debut promo. Not saying someone got in Punks ear, but given how many jabs they take on their own television to shit on the E, I wouldn’t be surprised if Tony said sprinkle in some bullshit. They were trying to recruit him since the company started so idk, the AEW people have always had an agenda.
Not taking away from what he said, he went out and shat on WWE, but I don’t think he regrets saying it. I assume how it’ll play out is Seth and Punk have an interaction on RAW, and Seth calls out that promo and shit on Punk and they build towards Rumble or Mania.
