while it is true that there is only still a wrestling scene in japan because of their antitrust laws and WWE would kill the whole thing immediately if they could, WWE makes more money from a single year in saudi arabia than they ever would setting up some pissant NXT branch in japan and all they'd ever get out of it is a bunch of talent they could never market in the important countries

There's not even enough top talent in Japan to fill the Japanese feds, much less a NXT spinoff. And then they actually create a few Japanese stars and immediately send them to America, where they still wouldn't get over. What's the point?

I'm sure that NXT Japan will not make NJPW irrelevant in Japan. Rather NXT Japan will end up like NXT UK. WWE will shut it down and add the usefull assets to regular NXT to cut their losses a couple of years later.
They should've made it NXT Asia and based it in Hong Kong or something.

NJPW peaked up until 2018. Most of the guys that have shown up are injured to hell, so no shit. Nobody is clamoring for it like they did from 2012-2018. But that's still a pretty good run.

And match quality alone. Both American companies fucking struggle with have the same matches. The main fucking champ has had the same finish in his matches for like year and they all go like 30+ minutes.

I’m still not sure why WWE hasn’t tried to pierce the Chinese market yet. They had Cena learning chinese to promote shit and they had a bunch of trainees in NXT for a while but all of them got quietly released after a few years. NXT Asia could work if they mainly do shows in China or India while featuring the very few guys who wrestles in Singapour, Hong Kong and Korea. You could even get a few japanese and gaijins.

WWE only hires the boomers and shitters. They don't search for the best wrestlers, they wait 15 years to find out if a wrestler can establish themselves long term until they sign them. At that point the wrestlers are close to 40 and just want a paycheck after sawdusting themselves for years
