I want Tony to be able to keep applying pressure to WWE so that wrestlers can start making NFL/NBA money - right now, they're nowhere close. Why Kip Sabian, why Solo/Camoroto/Agogo, WHY all the shitters on the back-end of the roster? Because they're your FRIENDS? He can even keep those people on the roster, fine. But why the 20 minute throwaway matches instead of 16 minutes - allowing for 4 minutes of mic work to develop characters. Why not have more special guest referees, or lumberjack matches, or celebrity appearances - the best they can do is Action Bronson?
Tony has far too much of an ego to be an autist. I don't want to see AEW get to the point where they're making $5M/week off their TV deal but spending $10M/week, because I already know the product isn't going to be $5M/week more entertaining. It's going to be Darby Allin in the main event vs Zach Sabre Jr for some shit title nobody has ever heard of for 35 minutes, because banger.
The mocking and scorn and podcasts dunking on him WILL be too much for Tony one day, and he'll either hand over partial control to someone else.....or fold.
