Ok watching that nxt ppv now, it's the first WWE show I've watched in years. Noam Dar Vs "Butch". Pete Dunno is clearly copying Kenny Omega badly, but also better. Noam Dar is a better worker and more entertaining than anything I've seen in aew in 2 years. Unironically.
Not saying it's good, neither of your consolewar headcanon shoes are good. But this is a lot better than what aew has been producing.

AEWGOD here and I’m excited for the show, but even you have to admit that we deserve some clowning for making this an Inoki tribute show without major NJPW presence.
I hope they unfuck themselves and WrestleDream gets more NJPW names next year. That’s my only problem with this show.

Since WWE took over as the unchallenged industry leader of pro wrestling in 2001, they have hemorrhaged 10+ million regular wrestling TV viewers and ran them off forever and never got them back.
In the whole time WWE has been the industry leader presenting as the mainstream of pro wrestling, more people have stopped watching than ever before and the 10s of millions who watched during the 2 largest booms of the business in the 80s/90s never ever returned once WWF became the unchallenged industry leader.
That's pretty embarrassing I'd say.

Wrestle Dream has nothing to do with Inoki and a true Inoki tribute would be bringing in Murakami to shoot on Hangman, having Kenso Suzuki wrestle a Chinese guy, having Shibata be used properly instead of being so weird comedy jobber and having Cass and Singh as a tag team against Hobbs and Sugiura.
