Cargill will be impressed by debuting in front of a sold out arena instead of fading AEW audience and get to work with, probably Charles straight out the gate.
The other part of it is because despite being a bit of a green shitter with no real matches, Cargill is black and has a dimes look, so they think they'll draw the bulbasaurs when they got more pretty black women. This might back fire when bigger shitters like Nia Jax injure her in the first few months. Still Cargill can hold a mic and act a scripted match in an otherwise struggling women's division filled with nipponese who can't talk English.
Pillman is going through the developmental because quite frankly, he was taught wrong and can't really talk like his dad - which is quite crucial when you ride on the name of one of the most prolific talkers of all of wrestling history. He's had like 3 goodish promos in the past that didn't exactly shake the money trees or AEW fans interests. Ultimately this will be a better option as he can actually work on his presentation, he's already pretty alright in the ring.
