HHH hated him. Buried him repeatedly during his Authority run whenever Edge made cameos, always considered him a midcard comedy dork, was really just jealous that Edge was a better heel foil to Cena, Undertaker, Batista etc. than he ever was

i don't think he worked anyone, it has been pretty obvious for like a year that he was going to aew, he kept mentioning having a match with ftr in interviews and even namedropped aew in his impaulsive episode
