And they can't reduce payroll to the extent you seem to think they can because their "stars" are all due for big raises soon -- Yuta, Starks, Cassidy, Acclaimed, all of the above. Or do you let them all walk and give the money to......who exactly? Copeland? Kip Sabian? Miro? Bandido? WHO?
TK has made a huge display about how he's not going to cut guys even if/when he's hemorrhaging money, so guys making 6-digits get to keep sitting at home to do nothing, or to job on ROH/Dark once a week. Best case scenario, an already inflated and largely useless payroll stays the same level while the WBD contract gets a moderate increase.
AEW isn't going anywhere, I don't know why the Death Cult screeching and lashing out always fucking has to happen. It's exhausting. I just want to see some better programming, a video game that doesn't suck, AEW moments actually going viral that aren't people getting hurt. Right now the company is just Cult Programming that rarely penetrates the cultural zeitgeist and that sucks. AEW deserves better.
