My thoughts on Jim Cornette as a former Cornette fan

No.11793522 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
Up until about the past decade, I would have considered myself a very big Jim Cornette fan.

I finally threw in the towel on his podcasts in the past couple years when it became apparent that his angry man schtick wasn’t entirely a schtick and he had a distinct problem with misogyny and racism.

Having not listened to him for about a year I was curious if he had managed to evolve in anyway. Made it through half his CM Punk is fired episode. It became quite apparent while he may be a true historian of the business to a point, he has absolutely no place in modern wrestling due to a clear biased bitterness towards success that doesn’t fit his definition of pro-wrestling.

I just can’t see how anyone can listen to him at this point unless they are so staunchly opposed to modern pro wrestling AND have no issue with racism and misogyny.

No one can diminish him being on the Mt. Rushmore in managers, but as an even semi sane voice of criticism at this point is foolish.

Anyone in the same boat OR even better have an earnest reason why I’m wrong in my assessment?
