I figured out why e-drones are SO mad about Edge (Adam Copeland) joining AEW.
He's the first "WWE lifer" to jump ship. AEW picked up dozens of ex-WWE guys of course, but all of them either had roots elsewhere before going to WWE, or were midcard/jobbers that got cut. No one knew who Edge was before WWE. He made his name there, became a major star (carrying Smackdown by himself at points), and worked for them exclusively for 25+ years.
Edge jumping is like Shawn Michaels or Triple H leaving. It's unprecedented.
