In the end the Invasion was a very simple idea to do. It's just a bunch of dream matches. Stone Cold vs Hogan, Undertaker vs Sting, Rock vs Hulk Hogan (which we eventually got at least), yet the end result was just another McMahon vs McMahon angle with some WCW and ECW midcarders on one side. However eventually it didn't even become that, so many people switched sides that it became generic babyfaces vs heels, WCW ended up becoming "The Alliance" anyways and then it stopped being a WCW Invasion.
