Can someone explain to me what exactly WWE did to him that he’s spent the past three decades (at least) doing everything he can to discredit and damage the WWE and Vince McMahon?

Did Vince refuse to give him a job? Does he just hate normal narrative wrestling that much? Is it because WWE’s success proves that his patented brand of wrestling is a niche interest that doesn’t draw casuals? Please, I’d love to know
