Dean Ambrose was a multi-time champion. Vince never disliked him and Mox thought the same thing, he just saw through his fake tough guy act and thought he was better at comedy.
Adam Cole is currently out for a year because he's too fragile to jump three feet.
Toni Storm was the one who saw the Vince way was right and went out of her way to play a character and not just be a wrestler.
Christian is a midcard champ. It's not like Vince disliked him enough not to use him as a utility player, he just didn't see him as a main eventer. Not everybody needs to be on top.
None of them are moving the needle however.

To be honest working the indies, NJPW, and AEW seasoned Cody in a way he never got in WWE. Cody is a much more complete wrestler now after having had those experiences.

Vince was completely wrong about the PC being a one stop shop to producing talent.

Vince also thought Christian was too ugly to be the top guy and Vince was 100% correct. Midcard title is Christian's ceiling, but he can carry that midcard himself.

Vince actually wanted to play to Cole's strengths and use his mic skills to get someone else over, because there was 0 chance Cole was gonna make it in the main roster. Cole is only treated as a serious competitor in AEW (And black and gold NXT) because q majority of the roster are midgets.

Vince has a mixed record with actually using people correctly but in general his initial hunches about talent are correct. How many WWE rejects are in AEW that are used the exact way people said Vince should have used them, yet are even less popular than they were in WWE.
